Sixteen pounders

Jack and Cole had fun hanging out at soccor - they both weigh sixteen pounds!

Go get them!

If you want them - you are going to have to crawl to get them!
(I think he was thinking about it, but is saving that for later)

Cole's First Big Bath

We filled up the big bath tub and gave Cole a big boy bath. Cole wasn't quite sure what to think. It wasn't as much fun as the pool, but it will do in a pinch.

Mark playing with Cole.
How about a little privacy!?

You talkin to me!?
Dad's ismaking me handsome.

Thumbsucking

New toy!

I always new that when you have kids, toys tend to take over the house. But now that we have kids, I really understand! We got out Cole's new Jumperoo for him to have fun with. He doesn't quite understand how to jump yet, but he love when we bounce him.

Swimming with Mommy Group

Cole and I went swimming with some of the gals in our mommy group. One of the gals, had us over to their backyard pool. It was really nice because half the pool was shaded, so I didn't have to worry about his skin getting sunburned. We spent almost two hours in the pool - he just loved it!
Look mom! I'm floating!
Catch ya later! I'm off to play!
What fun!
Just a few of the gals in our mommy group.

Chillin

Mark and I took Cole to the wading pool today. The news said that all but 4 of the wading pools will be closing this week. It seems so early for them to close! I guess summer is really coming to an end. So Mark and I enjoyed a nice day out with Cole. He did very well in the water.

Just chilling with my new shades.
Just getting in - its a little cool, but kind of interesting!
Check me out! I am having fun with my floating boat!
That's right - I'm a pro and part fish!
All dried off and ready for the next fun thing!

Grown up cereal

My parents visited this weekend. Cole is really interested in "big boy" food. Anyone eating around him gets their every movement watched. Each bite, going into our mouths, he just watches. When my mom was done with her big girl cereal, she showed him the bowl. You can see what happened below!

Squash Lover

Cole tried squash today. I think he has a new favorite! So far so good!

More Balloon Classic Photos

Just after this photo he slowly sank to the ground. Almost...but I am in no hurry.

Happy 5 Months!

Cole turned 5 months old yesterday. My how time flies by. All my friends have told me how fast it goes, but it really is true. Cole is doing great and is very happy baby. He sits great by himself now and is almost ready to crawl. He can get his knees up under him and arms outstretched, but he has yet to actually crawl. He is lots of fun, travels well in the car, sleeps great at night, likes to try all sorts of new foods (including cotton candy - shame on daddy!) and is a blessing to our family.

Cole, Mark and I enjoyed a nice evening at the Indianola Balloon Classic. We had great weather, lots of great sights, "fair food" and good company.

Just chilling and checking out the sights.

Bubbles

I read that babies love to look at bubbles and interact with them. Cole just enjoyed looking at them. I think he kept wondering where they kept going.

Look at that belly!

Should I be concerned? Just kidding, we all love a chunky baby!

What's Up!?

Ice Cream Lover

My parents, Cole and I went to Whitey's (a really good ice cream place). Cole just loved it!
