New tricks!

Weeks 10 and 11 were very eventful! Cole has started doing a lot more and interacting with toys. During the last two weeks:

1. Cole has been able to successfully get his fingers in his mouth on purpose. It was always by chance before and he was never able to keep them there for any length of time. Here is how he does it - he uses one hand to push the other hand closer so that he is able to get it into his mouth! And it is quickly becoming a favorite pasttime of his.

2. Cole has learned to hold on to things. (However, I think this photograph was possibly posed!)
3. Cole has started to play with the toys that hang above him! He coos and makes noises and loves to play with this thing. I think he is still amazed or maybe still wondering how Big Bird and Cookie Monster are moving! Could it really be ME moving them!?

4. Cole has started looking at his hand. Yes, that is correct. Hand. He only looks at his left hand for some reason, but he is mezmorized by it! Is that thing really mine? It seems to move when I move it!

5. And lastly, he has rolled over! The first time, I laid him down for some tummy time and went to grab something in the kitchen quick. When I came back a few seconds later he was on his back! I was so impressed!

Cole did it again this afternoon! I was sitting with him during tummy time and he lifted one arm and held it in the air and soon he rolled himself over!

As of today, he is now twelve weeks and we will see what he has in store for this week!

Bathtime

Cole now enjoys bathtime. He cried during his first bath, but now he is getting to like them more and more. Tuesday night we saw the biggest smile we have ever seen from him when he was getting into the bath. Isn't he cute?!

Fishing Trip

Mark and his brother Kevin and a bunch of other guys went on a fishing trip to Northern Minnesota, near Ely over Memorial Day. They had good weather, caught lots of fish and had a really good time. They mainly caught walleye, northern and crappies.

This trip was the first time that Mark was away from me since we got married! Our hearts were already fond, but I guess absence makes the heart grow even fonder! (If that is possible.)

Cole and I enjoyed a nice Memorial Day at the Lake with the rest of the family.

Celebrating Mothers Day

Here is Cole dressed in his finest to celebrate mothers day. We got together with Mark's side of the family, grilled out, played some games and enjoyed the day. Thanks to a wonderful son and husband for honoring me on that special day! I got a cute card from my son too!

Warmer weather

Warmer days are here and we are enjoying the beautiful weather that God gave us. Cole and Fubu (our dog) enjoyed hanging out in the backyard.

Introducing Cole

Cole was born on March 6th this year and weighed 7 pounds 14 ounces at birth. He is now 2 1/2 months old and weighs 12 pounds. Here are some photos from our home photo shoot at 2 months. We love him so much!

Getting with the times!

We are finally getting with the times! I have been thinking about doing a blog for quite some time now and with the birth of our son, it will be nice to post photos of him and keep everyone up to date on his latest little adventure!
